Hope Channel is a family friendly television network that spans the globe. Our world headquarters is located just outside of Washington, D.C. in Silver Spring, Maryland USA. We also have several offices, television studios and uplink centers in places such as Brazil, Germany, South Africa, and California USA.

Our global network broadcasts to every inhabited continent via satellite and is widely re-distributed by terrestrial rebroadcast, cable, internet and direct-to-home TV.

Hope Channel programming appeals to people of different nationalities and languages. Since our 40 studios are located in the countries where we broadcast, we are able to provide a rich variety of culturally relevant programs that appeal to all ages.

Viewers of our many channels appreciate the positive programs. As a spiritual values network, shows are considered for broadcast if the content will improve our viewers' relationships, health, careers, intellectual knowledge, and spiritual well-being.

It may be seen on satellite TV, cable, internet, and on television stations in millions of homes around the world.

2 How to View Hope Channel

Hope Channel may be viewed in the following ways in Africa:

  • Satellite TV
  • Broadband Internet

It may also be viewed on some DSTV decoders which have their own dishes (instructions available from our website).    It cannot usually be viewed where the dish is shared by many viewers, such as in Complexes and Apartments, unless the owner decides to do so as an added service for the tenants.


3       Special Offer to Owners of Complexes and Apartments

Hope Channel may be used free of charge by owners of complexes, flats, apartments, holiday resorts, hotels or any other organizations who connect by cable to their tenants.

The cost of connecting to their network is usually fairly low, especially because once the equipment has been installed, there are no monthly charges!

The equipment usually needed (in South Africa) is:

  • A satellite dish (you may already have this)
  • A spare port on the LNB mounted on your dish (R500)
  • A receiver  (Cost R600 – R800)
  • A channelized amplifier (in some cases) – Maximum R2,000

Because Hope Channel does not carry programs containing crime or violence, the impact on viewers is very positive and calming, leading to improved relationships and friendly attitudes.
